Every child in the setting is assigned a key person who will build a close relationship with you and your child. The key person is responsible for liaising with parents, ensuring the individual needs of each child are met and updating records as appropriate. Before you leave your child in our care you will be asked to fill in an admission form which includes name, address, GP address and telephone, special needs, contact numbers, consent forms etc.
We promote child-led learning by using In the Moment Planning Approach. We follow child’s interests and extend their learning. Outdoor activities contribute to children’s health, their physical development and their knowledge of the world around them.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYES) is a framework from birth to five years within all settings and reception classes. It is based on the ethos that every child deserves the best possible start in life and support to fulfil their potential; ensuring ‘school readiness.’ The EYFS acknowledges that a secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right. Good parenting and high quality learning together provide the foundation for children to make the most of their abilities & talents as they grow up.
Children aged 3 and eligible 2 year olds are entitled to 15 hours per week or part of 30 hours (27 hours) for 38 weeks of the year (Term-time only). If you do not qualify for a free place, please refer to our fees below.

Our fee structure is based on our hours of 9:00am-1:00pm Monday – Friday, 1:00pm – 4:30pm Tuesdays and Thursdays
All fees are payable monthly in advance, by bank transfer.
We offer government-funded early education places in line with DfE statutory guidance. Below you’ll find details on funded hours, sessions, fees, and available financial support.
Universal 15 hours for children aged 3–4
15 hours for eligible 2-year-olds
Additional 15 hours (30 hours total) for eligible working parents of 3–4-year-olds
30 hours for eligible working parents from the term their child turns 2 years old
Note:
We currently offer up to 27 funded hours per week. Eligibility codes must be provided and reconfirmed each term.
Funded places are term-time only (38 weeks/year). Children attending four morning sessions receive an extra free hour.

Optional Contributions: 20p/day for snacks. Packed lunches must be provided on longer days. Trip costs are communicated in advance.
£2 for the first 15 minutes
£10 for every additional 5 minutes
Tax-Free Childcare – up to £500 per child per quarter
Universal Credit Childcare Support – up to 85% of childcare costs

Our setting is inspired by the Curiosity Approach, encouraging children to explore, investigate, and learn through their own interests. We follow a child-led learning philosophy, where activities are guided by the children’s curiosity, ideas, and observations.
We embrace nature play and outdoor exploration, helping children connect with the environment while developing physical, social, and cognitive skills. Sustainability is central to our approach, with “in the moment planning” that incorporates children’s ideas, promotes recycling, and encourages care for the natural world.
We foster a love of books through our Story of the Week, where children enjoy reading, discussion, and related activities that build imagination, language, and early literacy skills.
We highly value partnership with parents and carers, inviting families to take part in celebrations, trips, stay-and-play sessions, and other events. This allows parents to actively engage in their child’s learning, share in their achievements, and strengthen connections between home and the setting.
